(June 15th 2006)
After the smelly world of Rotorua, we hit the road again and head towards Wellington. We’ve got 2 days to play with and haven’t decided yet whether to go to Lake Taupo or go straight to Napier and Hawkes Bay. We might even do both and spend one night at Lake Taupo before going to Napier.
Lake Taupo (if you haven’t read the info from the link) is the largest lake in New Zealand and from the photos I’ve seen, looks extremely beautiful. Click here to go to the official website.
Napier is in the region of Hawkes Bay (familiar to all who enjoy a glass or two of wine), and seems to have lots to offer (check this out)
After a couple of days loitering with intent (to drink lots of wine), we head south towards Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand.
